- *** ATTENTION ***
-
- This is a fully Plug'n'Play device. Not only the
-
- system identify the I/O address automatically but also to load
-
- /unload driver without rebooting, just depending on the device's
-
- presence. Few things user has to be cautious to take advantage
-
- of this great feature:
-
- 1. Always to turn on the device power before plug in the data cable
-
- the interface may be powered up by the parallel port and causes
-
- false detection, but a device without power will fail the driver
-
- loading. If this happened, please unplug the cable, turn on the
-
- device power and try again.
-
- 2. Always unplug the data cable before turnning off the device,
-
- failing to do so may cause system to freeze up.
-
- 3. A Low-Hi tone sound should be heard when plug in the card or
-
- cabel, device icon should show up in several seconds. Hi-Low tone
-
- when unplugging, device icon will disappear automatically.
-
- 4. You won't get a device icon if the hard disk drive has not been
-
- formatted before, use the CDISK.EXE format utility to
-
- partition/format the card.

- Under normal operation, the driver program will automatically

- select the optimized transfer rate for your computer. There is

- no need for you to set any of these switches. Unless you

- experienced some data reliability problems.

- Click on the following path:

- Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager -> SCSI Controller
-
- -> Settings
-
- then type in the exact wording any of these options.

- ForceUniDir=1 - force uni-directional 4 bit mode read
-
- ForceBiDir=1 - force bi-directional 8 bit mode read
-
- DelayCount=X - Specify the EPP delay count X=0~7

- ForceEPP=1 - force EPP mode where is available
